Busy as a Queen Bee...and the Winner!

It's actually been a cool day here in the southwest.
And April showers will bring more roses, pansies, and other flowers.

The green foilage on the bushes and plants is a deep emerald, they are getting an abundance of water. It's a good thing! Because it won't be long and the dry brittle heat will be here.

The little garden is coming along.
We'll have a few oranges on the orange tree.
It is still a young tree and we had a frost this
winter! So it's catching up.

And the Queen Bee Cottage winner is:
Kate from Auntie Cakes!
She is a sweetheart of a gal. Go over and
visit her and her beautiful family.
Thanks to all who entered and commented.
It was fun once again to give something away.

My sister is going to be a grandma again!
I'm helping her with sweet little gifts and door prizes for the baby shower in June. Have to prepare early because we have a full summer this year.
Here are a couple photos of the little goodies.

Home Made Vanilla
If you would like to learn how to make your own vanilla extract,
visit Donna @ Brynwood Needleworks, look under her tutorials, it's easier than you think.

Vintage baby shoe cushion

Vintage sheet music vanilla candle

This is a Scalloped Shelley tea cup pin cushion.
I bought them for a couple dollars without the saucers!
Don't they make adorable pin cushions? I have another for my mom on
Mother's Day.

Tiny vintage sheet music votive candles

Lastly a pretty paper shoe pin cushion.

Hope I didn't bore you today.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!

  3. Linda,
I feel like such a lucky girl to have won your beautiful bag! It is so gorgeous, and you put so many sweet details into it. It is certainly fit for a queen and just knowing that you made it, makes it so special. I can't stop smiling! Thank you!

And congrats to your sister. Another grandbaby on the way. My sister just had a sweet little boy, so I completely understand all the excitement of a new little one. And all your shower prizes are scrumptious! Those ladies will be thrilled beyond belief with your lovely gifts.

    Have the most wonderful week!
