'Breath of Heaven' ~ Share The Joy Blog Party...My Joys

Welcome to 'Share The Joy' Holiday Decorating and Craft Blog Party.
Hosted by Denise @ 'Bella Dreams'. Please be sure to hop on your sleigh and take a snowy trip over to her blog and take a look at how all the other blogs are 'sharing their joy'. Click on the Party badge to the right of this post to get to 'Bella Dreams'. You'll be blessed and inspired by some of the gorgeous vintage ideas they all have. Grab a cup of hot chocolate, coffee, or cider and sit a spell. Feed your creative side throughout the day. Turn your speakers up just a bit and be treated to some great Christmas music. Thank you so much for stopping by Robin's Egg Blues and sharing my joys!

Breath of Heaven
I have traveled many moonless nights,
Cold and weary with a babe inside,
And I wonder what Ive done.
Holy father you have come,
And chosen me now to carry your son.
I am waiting in a silent prayer.
I am frightened by the load I bear.
In a world as cold as stone,
Must I walk this path alone?
Be with me now.
Be with me now.
Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.

The next images are from 'The Nativity Story'. It is a close account of Mary's journey with Joseph and the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.

'The Nativity Story' is a must see at Christmastime.
You can get your copy HERE , sold at Amazon.com for $8.99. Or watch for your local listings.
If you keep scrolling you will find just a couple of my decorating ideas, I love simplicity, especially at Christmas time!

I (heart) pinecones, they speak of simplicity.

See the scattered pinecones?

A handmade pennent (made by moi) with faux acrylic prisms that I purchased at
Pier One. The silver glittered chipboard flourishes and letters are from K&Company. The trims and paper are Martha Stewart purchased at WalMart!
I wanted a cooler feeling here living in the southwest.
No snow, but it gives us a cool frosty feel.  ;-)

One of these days while the man of the house is away fishing, the lady of the house is going to transform this china/hutch cabinet into a shabby distressed piece. It would look great painted cream and antiqued. ;-) Mini Believe banner looks better on a creamy background.

Sweet Little Mini Banner...

Mini banner is made by me. I used star chipboard with vintage sheet music glued on, then sprinkled
tinsel glitter and vintage scrabble tiles BELIEVE.

Decorate with old scrabble tiles! The round box I covered with vintage sheet music.
Fleur de lis bottle on top of the box has cut strips of sheet
music rolled up and put inside.

Little French lace and buttons inspired wreath, handmade by me.

I like the vintage stains on it...click on the photo if you like to see.

Silver and more silver(plate that is).

Rolled up vintage sheet music adds some class. Can you tell I like old sheet music?

Four of our five joys! The fifth joy is napping. :-)

Our tree sits in the middle of the LR not quite finished. Come back Monday for a treat!
We'll do a little decorating outside next week, it sure is nice enough here.
Thank you for stopping by.

  10. absolutely beautiful! I love all of your neutrals and cool whites. You are right, you MUST paint that buffet. Men just don't get why we want to "mess up" a perfectly good piece of stained furniture.
