Next to fall in Wisconsin, spring is another favorite. During spring you can drive down
Division St. and National Ave. and see the most beautiful flowering crab trees in blossom.
They are in backyards, frontlawns, country, farms, you name it. They burst with pink color!
P.S. I should say that we now reside in southern Arizona after living in Wisconsin for over 40 years.
Wisconsin has so much lush green compared to where we are now. And those flowering crabs...
won't bloom for a couple more weeks in Wisconsin. These photos are from my archive.

Hi Linda,
ReplyDeleteRobin egg blue is one of my favourite colours and your blog background is lovely! Those flowering crab blossoms are so beautiful, they take your breath away! Gorgeous photos! I just found your blog and I'm coming back! I'm signing up so I don't lose track of you. Thanks for sharing your lovely blossoms and have a beautiful week.
Blessings,

Linda: I grew up on the south side of Division Street, just west of the intersection with Park Avenue. There is a flowering crab in the back yard of a house on the corner of Division and (I think) Cottage Avenue. The house faces onto the side street and was dark colored brick. The tree took up their entire back yard and fairly left one breathless when you looked at it. I miss seeing that and the other crabs in bloom. My mum always has them in her yard, too (wherever she has lived). One of our favorite trees. Thanks for the photos. They're stunning.

ReplyDeleteJust lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhen ever I come over I think of Mary Kay Cosmetics when I see your Robin's egg blue blog. Years ago they carried a blue eye shadow that was wickedly turquoise in color! It makes me smile because all those millionaires in Mary Kay wore it!
ReplyDeleteI like the pretty flowers!
Oh wow - they are gorgeous!!!! I have two pitiful examples in my garden but in their defence they are still very young...one day when I am old and gray they will look like that!!!...Have a great week xoxo

The flowering trees are just like they were taken in Georgia this week. The trees are in full bloom and the daffodils are showing their sweet faces. Spring is so blessed this year after a long cold winter. Blessings to you,
