Have you seen these photos of a real life Bambi and
Thumper? Aren't they sweet?
So cute!
********
White on white.....
Do you like the clean crisp look of white on white?
Maybe someday I'll have something like this.
Right now I will settle with beige, tans, creams, and browns.
Yummy!

Can you see my garage lovin', grease monkey, gardener
hubby in decor such as this?  ;-)
I love him to pieces but we have to settle with a brown
leather sofa set. Easy to keep clean!
Ahhhhhhh......my dream in white.
In the meantime, I am gradually going a little shabby chic.
Sanding and painting furniture pieces such as our china cabinet, a 100 year old table
and it's matching chairs. I'll show you before and after pics a little later.

  1. I am so with you! I love that white on white look! I too have a living room with brown leather furniture and black tables etc. But I could not imagine my hubby or my grease monkey son sitting on white. I would be a nervous wreck constantly! But we can always dream.
    Blessings!

  2. Ah, how cute! I love white on white, but with four house pets it would never work. Thus my many reds...

  3. I love the crisp, clean, simple look of white, but everything would be covered with a dusting of gray cat hair. not so pretty. love my kitties, though! Looking forward to your new project of the dining room furniture.

  4. You are brave, painting your 100 year old furniture. I always hesitate with something that old. But, I do RATIONALIZE, I have to love the pieces I'm living with, RIGHT.

  9. Those Bambi pictures are so cute, amazingly gentle. I'm also enjoying incorporating more white/shabby but still have taupe walls etc. It can all work together.

  12. Oh the sweet Bambie and Thumper,,,love those pics.
White is just not man friendly...well not on a couch or chair. I think it is for white collar men,,or single women, without dogs. All white is a bit cold to me. I like a mix. I am doing sanding and painting too. Really beautiful rooms,,,makes ya want to go there and hope you have no paint on your elbows. lol Happy repurposeing!

  15. Oh I love the deer and bunny photos!
And yes I know just how it is having a man in an all white - or worse - pink house. Mine just wouldn't stand for it - that's pretty much it in a nutshell. I see some of the most gorgeous homes on all the blogs and can only dream that I could have some of the rooms these women share with their husbands. CAuse it just soooo ain't gonna happen here! LOL.
    Loved this post! Karen

  16. Those photos are wonderful! I love both sets! White looks so cool and comfortable for our climate. Don't worry you aren't the only one with a grease monkey for a hubby. I can't have that much white in my home either!!!

  18. Sweet, sweet pix.......

I LOVE the all white look, but I still gravitate toward color.....I don't think the all white is for me, although I do love looking at it.

    Warm blessings,
