Hooked

To make my dollar stretch I like to check out the Dollar Tree stores. Before Christmas, I mentioned on a earlier post that I picked up these trays.

Come back for Silver Sunday to see what I've done with some of them.
I like to browse the wedding favors isle and came home with these.

Not only can these be used for weddings and showers but I'm using them for
crafting. The organza pouches can be filled with lavendar buds. The tiny boxes can be spruced up
with silver charms and punched paper shapes, filled with candy, buttons, bits of lace, ribbon, or a jewelry gift and given for Valentine's Day.

I'm putting together old pocket watch faces, hands, tiny gears and inner workings to sell on Etsy.
They fit perfectly into the tiny tins.

I'm hooked on the Dollar Tree!

  4. Great ideas for the little boxes! I could do some of those tomorrow night at Art Group. It is supposed to be cold & I don't want to make multiple trips from the car to carry a bunch of stuff. Thanks for sharing!

  6. Linda, I love the Dollar Tree stores! You can always find something neat in them, and you found some neat items. I need to check out their bridal stuff because I am hosting a shower for a god-daughter in a couple of months. I never thought to look there for these items. duh...
I will go and check out your Etsy. Thanks for stopping by. I used the snow blower this evening and it already needs to be done again! whew, it just keeps coming down! It's really not that cold out though, although our son thinks its freezing. But then, he's been out in So Cal and 20 degrees feels like Alaska to him! LOL

  9. Ahhhh...The Dollar Tree...my retreat.
I saw so many of the silver trays there as they are still stacked up at my store.

I can't wait to see what amazing transformation you've done with them.
