Reflections....

These photos were taken last week in northern Wisconsin. Each is a different angle of an old water hole we use to go to as kids. Actually it is an irrigation ditch from the Wolf River.  There are acres and acres of potatoe fields that had to be watered in the summer from the river. We would take baths and wash our hair here.  A year before my dad retired from the Navy he moved us to the north central part of Wisconsin. The little cabin we lived in for a bit had no running water, except for a hand pump outside and an 'outhouse'. We thought this was the greatest thing happening! The water here is so clean you can see the bottom in some of the deepest spots. I love the reflections from the trees and clouds. It's so good to be home, the weather was gorgeous. In the 70's and sunny for the mostpart. I'm anxious to show you all the photos at once.  I'll show you a few each day. These are views of the woods and irregular tree growth. Enjoy..
This road leads to the parking lot and the path that takes you to the river. It's a long winding road.

  4. Wisconsin, one of my favorites states. Clean, green and lovely countrysides and some of the best antiquing anywhere. I miss my trips to Mineral Point, Prairie de Chen, Shake a rag alley, etc. Now that would be a fabulous road trip from Atlanta Georgia. Sea Witch
