Number 3 photo is the 'Shannon clan' in their log home before the farm house was built. Taken in Langlade county, Wisconsin. Nettie and Hugh are my great grandparents. My paternal grandmother is sitting in Hugh's lap. Hugh and Nettie had 10 children. Earl had passed away before this photo was taken and there was another baby born, I believe her name was Mary. Number 2 photo show my great great grandparents, Cyrus and Francis Thrall, Nettie's mother and dad. Photo number 1 are Hugh and Nettie in the early days, the late 1890's. The top photo I touched up and added sepia with a gorgeous matching frame and presented it to my dad for father's day a few years back. Please do not save these photos to your pc. Thank you so much. Someday I will have this blog converted into a soft cover book. What a treasure... I have more photos in previous posts. It's a wonderful heritage to have these photos. Many of us in the Shannon family have shared these via disk, email and selling them at family reunions in White Lake.

This photos are just wonderful!!!!!! You must be very proud of this treasure and to have such a family history!!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!! And it will be very great, if you convert your blog into a book......thats a wonderful idea!!!

How wonderful to possess such history via pictures. You are blessed to possess them. My maternal grandmother gave all her pictures to my father who when he died left them my step mother and her son. I was not able to get any pictures of my father as a child nor pictures of my mother and my siblings when we were little. That was almost as tragic as my fathers passing. Cherish them as no amount of money could ever replace the value they hold in ones heart.
